Kahala asked renowned surfboard shaper Dick Brewer if he could draw out some of the famous surfboards that he has shaped for world champion surfers in the last 40 years. Dick took his time and carefully sketched the outlines of the pivotal boards that he made. He notes the length, the width and the thickness of each board along with tidbits like, "won Makaha 1964". The drawing is intricately layered with shapes and colors into a really rich and meaningful composition.
